Laurence Larsen coaching a senior client through banded resistance training outdoors at a Santa Barbara park

What the intro session covers

  1. 1

Quick health + goals chat (10 min)

Where you are now, what you want to change, any injuries or past surgeries I should program around.

  2. 2

    Movement assessment (15 min)

A few basic patterns so I can see how you move and where to start.

  3. 3

A real training session (30 min)

You actually train, not just talk. Walk away knowing exactly what working with me feels like.

  4. 4

    No-pressure recommendation (5 min)

I'll tell you honestly whether I think I'm the right trainer for you — and if not, who is.

Laurence has been working with my 91-year-old mom for the past year, after she had been bedridden for over a year and a half. With his steady support and guidance, she's been able to start walking again and regain strength we didn't think was possible.

Laurence is a fabulous trainer and workout coach! As the owner of Rincon Fitness (now Key2Fitness) I watched Laurence help so many people (including my family) improve their strength and conditioning, all with the awareness for safety and proper form.

Training with Laurence over the last year has been a stellar experience. The workouts he creates are fun and challenging, and it's been amazing to see how much my fitness has improved since I've been working with him. He's professional and knowledgeable.

Common questions

What if I've never worked with a trainer before?
Most of my intro-session bookings are first-timers. I'll walk you through everything — no jargon, no judgment.
Do I need any equipment?
No. I bring everything for in-home and outdoor sessions. If we're meeting at a local gym or in a studio, the equipment is already there.
What if I can't do the full hour?
Tell me when we talk on the phone — I can adjust intensity. Half-effort and learning is still a win.
How do I pay?
Cash, Venmo, Zelle, or card — whatever's easiest. We sort it at the session.
